DASH7 TECHNOLOGY
ABSTRACT:
DASH7 is an evolving wireless networking technology with many advanced features. It is an open source standard for wireless sensor networking. More users are getting interested in DASH7 due to its long range and very low power consuming transceiver. A range of 10m to10 km at a data rate of up to 200 kbps can be expected from it. The major applications of DASH7 are Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and mobile phone with Near Field Communication (NFC).
DASH7 uses the ISO/IEC 18000-7 open standard, which is a standard for wireless communications using the license-free 433 MHz ISM band air interface. It is initially developed for military purpose but its advanced features re-purposed it for commercial applications, especially as a replacement for ZigBee.
